STEAVEN RICHARD
Trained at the school of traditional wrought ironwork, Steaven Richard decided to open his workshop after a ten-year tour of Europe. He settled in Paris and met visual artists, sculptors, and designers who inspired his artistic approach. He caught the attention of prominent Parisian decorators with his range of patinas. In 2013, Karl Lagerfeld commissioned him to create a textured maillechort Versailles parquet floor for his studio at CHANEL. This exceptional project accelerated the development of innovative techniques and tools, now patented: Artistic laminating was born! Passionate about innovation, challenges, and creative dialogue, Steaven continuously experiments to open new aesthetic fields.
Atelier Steaven Richard specializes in the artistic work of metals and creates custom, unique pieces or small series in the field of interior decoration: furniture, lighting, stair railings, grilles, etc. Here, metal is transformed, textured, patinated, and assembled to craft design objects and decor in steel, bronze, and brass, in an infinite combination of textures and colors.
